Niffty will showcase the wide and eclectic mix of fashion available on High Street in two special parades. Featuring high end Australian designers, sustainable fashion, vintage fashion, contemporary fashion and hand-made fashion, the parade will showcase items from stores located on High Street. Special offers on purchases made over the festival weekend will be available to people who present their festival program at participating retailers.

Fashion parade hosted by MC Catherine Deveny:

Catherine Deveny is a Television comedy writer, stand-comedian, author, social commentator, broadcaster and columnist in The Age newspaper. She cites her biggest influences as Bill Hicks, Richard Dawkins, Billy Bragg and Alice Miller. Deveny’s television work includes Network Seven’s Tonight Live with Steve Vizard, Full Frontal, ABC TV’s Good News Week, The 7.30 Report, Network 10’s Rove Live, The Wedge and skitHOUSE and 7pm Project. She is a regular and extremely popular fill in broadcaster on 774 ABC Melbourne. Deveny is widely considered one of the most gifted, versatile and prolific writers in Australia. He voice ranges from polemic to compassionate, stand up to sermon, joke writer to speech writer and from cultural terrorist to cultural therapist. Deveny will be appearing 2010 Melbourne Comedy Festival with her one woman show God Is Bullshit; That’s The Good News.
