Bianca Durrant is a Melbourne based interdisciplinary artist, who works with installation, video, drawing and text. The current focus on process based spatial installations, is informed by images and textual data including museum collection statistics, museum architectural plans and natural history documentation and site visits. The ongoing series of papier-mache taxidermied animals comments on the aestheticization of nature and the western culture of collecting in both museum and art contexts. These new works use her trademark lo-fi materials, in this instance paper and glue.
